Introduction
Django is an ambitious project I’ve undertaken. When I decided to do the short film entirely on green screen, I realised that this was going to take some time and effort to create what I envisioned. What I wanted basically was to knock your socks off visually. I chose the spaghetti western genre because growing up it’s what my parents fed into my brain every friday and saturday nights when they’d talk about certain films. Naturally I watched anything I could get my hands on. I decided to mesh genres, anime, exploitation/grindhouse, spaghetti western and horror.
Django has just completed post-production and this is where YOU come in. Along with myself and producer Loretta Peduto, we invite you to become a supporter of a groundbreaking new short film. In order for Django to be eligible for film festivals both nationally and internationally, it requires the rights use the song “DJANGO” featured in the original 1966 Sergio Corbucci masterpiece. In order for EMI to allow the use of the song, the production needs to purchase these rights and we need your support. Through Invested In we hope to raise the funds to acquire these rights. We hope to raise the funds soon, if we do not meet the target goal by then, all funds will be returned. We encourage any donation and would be greatly appreciated.
Django was made through FIDEO FILMS an independent film, video and multimedia production company based in Sydney, Australia which also provides a diverse range of production services for the film and entertainment industry.
