It’s been 30 years since the massacre of Sabra and Shatila, the Palestinian refugee camps where between 16 and 18 September 1982
a number of Palestinian Arabs estimated between several hundred and 3.500, was perpetrated by Lebanese Christian militias in an area directly controlled by the Israeli army. A historical fact that is important not to forget
I would like realise a video report in the Palestinian camps in Lebanon, from Beirut to the south of the Country. I want to talk with women, with people who still remember, to know how it has changed since then their condition and what they expect for the future. I enclose below a piece by Robert Fisk of the Independent, translated by THE Done daily. Robert Fisk has lived in Beirut for 40 years, he is the best British journalist who deals with the Middle East, he entered Sabra and Chatila immediately after the massacre and he came back there in this anniversary.
To understand why today this is importatante back there today, read it!
