Who am I walking for?

I am walking for girls like ZUSIASH MERSHA, a 12 year old that lives in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia.
Her day:
5:30 a.m.
. Wake up
6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
. She goes to work where she provides breakfast and cleans without a break.
2:45 - 4:45 p.m.
. She is allowed to go to the Biruh Tesfa Center to learn reading and writing. With a HUGE smile, she says this is the best part of her day!!
5:00 p.m. - 1:30 a.m.
. She returns to work to clean her employer's bus station motel.
2 a.m. until she falls asleep
. She reads and does her homework with a solar lantern.

Her Story:

Every day, she participates in Biruh Tesfa, a United Nations Foundation funded program that provides girls with informal education and training for two hours a day. Through this program, Zusiash also has access to essential health check-ups to ensure she is healthy and protected against disease. The program also makes it possible for her and other adolescent girls to obtain an official identification card, which helps ensure that they are counted and recognized by their government.

Zusiash is a reminder of the potential and drive of adolescent girls around the world. You are walking and raising money to help her and girls just like her.
