Are chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, and mainstream pharmaceuticals the only treatment                                                     options we have for cancer?
                                                             No, not at all!!!
                           There are plenty of proven non-toxic methods to treat cancer!
These methods are practiced in clinics all over the world for more than 20-50 years. Physicians in these clinics view cancer differently from conventional medicine. In our movie, you will see why and how.
You would ask - why do not we know about these therapies?
Since these therapies are inexpensive and sometimes cannot be patented, the mainstream medicine, controlled by the drug companies and big profits, diminishes and denies the success of the therapies.
A very vivid example is the American Cancer Society (ACS).
If you go to the American Cancer Society (ACS) website, and research Revici Therapy, Gerson Therapy, Flaxseed Oil Therapy and others, you will find that for most of these therapies ACS proclaims there is no evidence of them being successful.
Is it really so? Are these therapies ineffective?
These are the questions we will research in our movie!
Some experts may say that there are situations when standard treatments can be beneficial. Nonetheless, it is a well-established fact that chemotherapy, radiation and surgery do have horrific and dangerous side effects and sometimes can pose serious health risks.
What is chemotherapy? What does it consist of?
The chemotherapy consists of a list of chemical agents that mostly target different mechanisms in cells. There are more than 100 chemotherapy drugs at this time. Most of the chemotherapy is the use of very strong toxins like Cyclophosphamide (nitrogen mustard derivative that changes DNA), Doxorubicin (works on DNA of a cell, the most serious side effect is life-threatening damage to the heart), Vincristine (produced from the plant but acts on cellular cycle that kills healthy cells and cancer cells), and the list can go on.
As you will learn in this film, in the vast majority of cases a treatment for cancer does not have to involve potent chemicals or radioactive substances; it does not always have to cut tumors to allow patients to live without cancer. In our documentary we will talk to doctors and scientists who are able to achieve excellent results using natural substances that do not cause damage to our bodies. They successfully treat thousands of patients every year.
The purpose of the documentary is educational. The information presented in the film is intended to help a sick person to find other ways if conventional options do not hold much promise or have failed. The movie will also explore how conventional methods of chemotherapy, surgery and radiation can be integrated with holistic treatments to achieve better and long-lasting results.
Along with presenting possible ways to overcome cancer, we will also answer the following questions:
  • What is known and not known about cancer?
  • Why is the number of people afflicted with cancer on the rise?
  • What are the potential causes of cancer?
  • How could it be prevented?
The documentary will investigate the value of nutrition, mind/ body interconnections, activation of body's own immunological capacity and various enzyme pathways to enable our bodies to fight diseases.
The film will feature therapies that were chosen based on their history of scientific research, their healing effectiveness and statistical record of patients' results.
To give the most comprehensive overview of the therapies, physicians, experts and, most importantly, patients will be interviewed.
Among experts are Charlotte Gerson (Gerson Institute), Lothar Hirneise and Klaus Pertl (German Holistic Cancer Center), Dr. Ken Weizer (Down to Earth Medicine), Dr. Francisco Contreras (Oasis of Hope Hospital), Dr. George Moskowitz (Revici Research Foundation), Dr. Eslinger (Reno Integrative Medical Center) and many others.
SPECIAL FEATURES
We believe that as many people as possible need to know about the natural treatments. This we plan to achieve by creating a film in two languages: English and Russian. Further dubbing into other languages is considered. Both versions of the documentary, bonus videos, information about different non-toxic treatments and other useful resources will be placed online.
Animations explaining how therapies work on a cellular level will be developed.
Our website, in its turn, will be properly SEO optimized and updated to be accessible through search engines.

Maria Rechkunova-Goodson has been interested in treatments for cancer since she was a teenager.
She volunteered in Children's Cancer Center (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan) for five years while being a college student in American University-Central Asia.
As she is always searching for possible cancer cures, for the past four years Maria has been studying natural ways to address cancer and degenerative diseases. Through her conversations with family, friends, and colleagues, she realized that there is an acute need to produce a movie which will inform people about their medical choices when it comes to cancer.
Maria has also been accepted to the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon to study naturopathic and Chinese medicine.

Veta Shapkina is a terrific up-and-coming director. She holds Masters Degree from a famous VGIK (Vserossiiskii Gosudarstvennyi Institut Kinematografii named after S. A. Gerasimova) in Moscow, Russia. Veta has also volunteered in Children's Cancer Center in Kyrgyzstan when she was a student in American University-Central Asia (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan). While being a volunteer at the Center, she got inspired to find ways to heal cancer.
Veta Shapkina is a health advocate. She is interested in creating a documentary that combines her skills and experience as a director with her passion to promote health and well-being of people all over the world.
Director of Photography: Mikhail Vikhrov is a talented cinematographer with over seven years of experience in documentary filming.
He specializes in creating documentary films for the Russian television. He also has a vast experience in making short fiction and art films. His fabulous style of photography is earning him a good reputation in the industry.

HOW WE ARE GOING TO SPEND THE MONEY
We will need around $60 000 to complete this movie.
The funds will go into production and post-production costs:
  • Traveling expenses to film clinics and doctors (trips to Buoch, Germany; Reno, Nevada; Long Island City, NY; San Diego, California; Tijuana, Mexico; Portland, Oregon);
  • Traveling expenses to film patients and survivors in their home towns;
  • Graphics and animations that explain cell functions and therapy effects on a microscopic level;
  • Translation fees;
  • Website creation fee;
  • Film production costs (salary for cinematographer, narrators, camera/ sound/ lighting equipment etc.);
