Thank you for taking the time to hear my plea. I am doing this for my 5 year son. I am currently in the process of divorcing his mother. In the interim, she has made some poor choices that placed my son in harm's way. The Department of Children & Families (DCF) got involved, but can not provide legal action as he has a fit parent (Me) and they can only take action against both parents. I was advised to seek protection for my son in my divorce. I need your help to hire a lawyer.

This is where I need your help.

I was handling the divorce by myself as there are few property/financial assets to argue over, and custody would have been shared. This has now changed and I must fight to get full custody of my son (and provide his mom supervised visitation). I was advised to get an attorney to help me. Problem is, I make too much to get public assistance, but not enough to hire one on my own. After rent, aftercare, car, gas, health insurance, I am lucky to have $10.00 to my name at the end of the month.

I am putting my pride to the side and asking for your help - not for me, but my little boy. Any contribution will be a great help. And sharing my plea with your friends will help my cause. This is for an innocent child. No personal gain here.
